Normal, IL- The big news story that is going on right now is the new vaccine made for breast cancer. Scientists think that they have created a new vaccine to not only stop it, but also to prevent it from entering in to the female human body. The first person to test it on is Karen Gentile. In her perspective, she that to be like a crystal ball choice whether to do this or not. She has the form of breast cancer, DCIS.  That form of cancer stops the milk process from making more. Therapy can also cure it but the vaccine was more efficient and had more of a likely chance to succeed.

A month later, she went back to the doctor, the doctor looked under the microscope and saw the immune system in action. Just as they suspected, it was the right choice for them and her. A new cure has been found!

The way it works is that the immune system doesn’t really attack the most deadly cells in the breast because the tissue looks so normal like there is nothing wrong with it. The reason why that is is that the cells are invisible! To make the vaccine, the white blood cells are taken right out of the person and put into the cancer proteins.

After the vaccine has worked its magic for two weeks the doctors said that the vaccine is doing what it exactly what it is supposed to do. Dr. Czeniecki said,” they are watch dogs for the body and they will protect anywhere they see a problem the cancer proteins coming back”. For the rest of her life, breast cancer will no longer affect her.

NORMAL-In 1997, the gaming world was forever changed by a game called Goldeneye. It set new heights for the FPS (First-Person Shooter) genre on consoles, with an excellent campaign, innovative mechanics, and fantastic multiplayer. And then Halo came along and ruined everything.

Fortunately, the legacy of Goldeneye still survives to this day, hence this remake from Activision and Eurocom. This is based on a James Bond movie that doesn’t actually exist. Instead, it’s a reimagining of the classic N64 title Goldeneye, originally published by Nintendo and developed by Rare. This game completely reimagines the original’s campaign and multiplayer, while making it playable for the modern FPS audience. If you’ve ever played a Call of Duty title post-COD4, you know what to expect. The mechanics are lifted almost entirely from Activision’s other popular shooter franchise, the exception being the lack of a jump ability, which makes the game feel a little Doom-esque in my experience.

In terms of story, it’s essentially the Goldeneye movie reimagined with Daniel Craig as the lead role instead of Pierce Brosnan. This translates into more fistfights, shooting, and a more modern story. But, this is a modern FPS; who plays the campaign mode? Multiplayer is key here, and it is GLORIOUS! The game supports both local splitscreen multiplayer and online multiplayer, each feeling like a different game. Local multiplayer harkens back to the N64 days, with crazy modifiers, fun weapons, and an incredibly cheap Oddjob. Seriously. He’s really cheap. Online multiplayer, on the other hand, plays like Call of Duty. You know what to expect by now. Graphically, it looks good for a Wii game, although there’s some slowdown when there’s a lot going on.

Overall, if you want a blast from the past, some fun multiplayer action, or just are bored with FPS games in the Middle East, MI6 is the place to go. Just remember: no Oddjob!

I give this game: 9/10.

NORMAL- Hey! It is the Ben and Ben sports report. We are here to tell you   about Epiphany’s 6-7-8 grade boys’ basketball teams. The 6^th grade team is currently 4-3. The 7^th grade boys are 6-0. They have a very good basketball team. Come support them as they try to head to the state championship. The 8^th grade boys are 0-6. They have been playing hard in all of their games. Come help support each one of our teams.

Declan R. has been on the 6^th grade basketball team for 2 months. We asked him, “Declan, about how many points have you scored this season. He said “I have scored about 20 points this season.” He also said “We will have a successful season this year.”

We asked Nate R. who is on the 7^th grade basketball team a couple of good questions. One of them was “Nate, how many points have you scored this successful season?” He responded “I have scored 47 points in the last 5 games.” We also asked him “Do you think the 7^th grade boys will go to the state championship?” He said told us “Yes, I think we will go to the state championship and win it because we have a very good team.”

We asked Peyton P. who is in 8^th grade a few questions. One of the questions was,  “Do you think you will come back after your 5 close loses and win some of your upcoming games?” He responded “Yes, we will win some of our upcoming games.” “All of our games have been close except for one of them which were against the Holy Trinity Saints.”

NORMAL-Epiphany  STEAM is a half hour class at the end of the day every day except for one day so we can have mass. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Half of the junior high is doing STEM. The other half is doing publishing and service. The STEAM projects have been worked on since the beginning of the year. Students have been working extremely hard and it’s showing. There are many different projects going on like volcanoes, catapults and many other things. At the end of the semester the STEAM fair will be held in the Lyceum so the students can show off all of their hard work with their projects. Then the other half will start their projects. “I am looking forward to the STEAM fair,” says Thomas P.

NORMAL-This is an adrenaline-pumping awesome 1^st person video game. This game is the 8^th game in the collection of Call of Duty. This game is a continuation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This video game is continuation of the characters Soap and Price’s storyline of fighting in war against Russia. The main plot of this story is about a war that has not happened yet or may happen in the future – WW3.

I personally think this is an awesome action game about serving in the war. This game has been given a review of 4/5 stars and I totally agree with this rating.  Lots of things I like about this new game are:

1. Graphics are better than older call of duty games do to technology advancement.
2. New guns such as the RSASS Sniper Rifle.
3. New maps such as Underground and Hardhat.

(This is always going to be a chance of something being wrong in the game but it is mostly good.)

My overall review of this game is that this is the best game yet out of the Call of Duty collection and that this is a must buy game.
